Junior high years are most crucial for pre-teens/teenagers. In this formative stage of life they struggle mostly with two main elements, their sense of identity and their sense of belonging. Most young people today find and define their understanding of who they are and who they belong to from their peers, friends, media, GPA, SAT¡¯s, family. Though not all of these influences are negative but some of them can potentially have negative influences in their lives. Scripture teaches us that we are not of this world (John 17:15-17), therefore, we can not embrace all of the values from this world but rather having the Word of God renew our values, thoughts, sense of worth, identity and belonging.

At Choong Hyun Mission Church Junior High ministry [aka: PB2J = People Belonging 2 Jesus], our mission is to build a family of God by re-teaching and equipping young people in what it means to be sons and daughters of God, and what it means to belong to Him and to each other as the church. Through music worship, sermons, Bible studies, ministry opportunities, discipleship, fellowship, community. We offer godly influences in their lives to help define their true identity and their sense of belonging to God.

We meet on Friday nights from 7pm to 10pm for worship/Bible study/fellowship/devotions and on Sunday mornings at 11:30am to 1pm for corporate worship and small group Bible study/discussion. We consistently have a good substantial number of dedicated and loving volunteer teachers on staff for the students. We provide at least 2-4 teachers for each grade level and according to their gender.
